I’ve finally got some semblance of a new website up, and with it comes a new blog. This one is called Mental Note, and I’m hosting it instead of wordpress. I’ve provided the link below to it, in case anyone wants to switch out RSS (like all three people??).

Still writing. I have GOT to get DARK RESONANCE finished. Things keep twisting—new Echoes, Trodes, and characters. Lemme say…Technomancers are the COOLEST!
I also have more SR work, both fiction and layout, as well as getting all of Grimoire up and PDF’d before June 3rd.
Got a full finished copy of PHANTASM in the mail. Sweeet! And I got a copy of the new Mass Market of WRAITH. Pictures to come when I’m not like..doing the day job?? I’m here…not Twittering or posting as much. And the website should be completely updated Memorial Day. That is my goal.

I’ve recieved a number of emails relating to readers not being able to access my index site with I.E.
I personally don’t use I.E. because it’s not supported with Macs. And I’m a Mac-head. All Mac. The site is easily accessed through Safari, Opera, and Firefox (that last one I urge people to use and get OUT of IE). I can say I’ve done nothing to the site in a while—as I don’t own the software to change it.
I AM working on a new site powered by wordpress which should make it easily viewable by everything. And easily editable by me. Natch!
As for the IE issue, my host company insists they’ve done nothing different to it and perhaps it is an IE issue to itself.
I have no idea—but there is little I can do—except get my new site up ASAP.
Still working on getting a new site active by mid-May. The mass market paper-back of WRAITH should be out by then if it’s not already, and I desperately need to get things moving. I’m also buried in deadlines, new projects and proposals and the impending doom of summer.

I also need to keep my butt off SecondLife. Double-ARGH!
I was informed yesterday that if I’m going to have a blog I have to write it in it every day. Well, I was doing that, or close to it. And then I realized I needed to generate more words every day. And since I’m a temporary single mom, work a full time job, and run a house by myself with literally no social life, I decided I needed to cut out in other areas in order to make those words.
I couldn’t cut time away from mini-me. Not acceptable. She’s 8 and wants/needs attention. I’m already the World’s Lousiest Housekeeper, so I really couldn’t afford to take even more time from straightening the house. That would have pretty much meant NO housework at all (and we gotta have food, laundry and cat-poop-scooping). Wasn’t happening at the job—I do layout and design. So, not there.
What I came away with was less time online. Yeah, I joined SecondLife, and that was just crazy since I ended up getting way involved in that. So now that’s relegated to only a few nights a week, and ONLY after words. (Yeah we’ll see how well I do that).
So, I cut back on Twitter, Facebook, and here. I’m still working on updating the website, as well as getting the Ancilliary stuff done. But when it comes down to it, the words are what’s most important, and I still got a lot of them to get done before I’m done with the current project.
And so with that, it’s time for the morning: shower, fix lunch for me and mini, get her up, dressed, teeth brushed, school stuff packed, breakfast ready, morning commute, and then full day at work…
Yep. I am still here. Though I’ve been a bit busy.
PHANTASM’s release is over a month away, and I’m working on updating the website, adding in more pages, and getting Grimoire (Dags’s story) uploaded before June 1st. So—I’m not checking out. I’m checking in. Completely swamped.
A few other projects went THWAMP on my desk (this is a good thing!) and I’ve been looking into those as well. I’ll be making an announcement on one of them hopefully this week.
A two week delay from taxes as well as Real Life Stuff interrupted work on DARK RESONANCE, but I’m back on that, working with the ASD (Assistant Line Developer) of the game to introduce some fun things that will be out in source work before the book is released. Shadowrun is alive and well, as is my Technomancer, Kazuma (KAH-zu-mah).
The title of this post means I’m working on EXTRAS. Those extras will initially deal with Zoë’s world, and then Kazuma (DARK RESONANCE). I hope they’ll go into explaining a lot in the world of the Abysmal. I’m also open to suggestions in case anyone had any questions that might be good to include in a FAQ page.

Had to take a break—but I’d been listening to HYDE, both solo and with L Arc en Ciel as inspiration. So for the break I netflixed The Last Quarter. What a great movie! Go Hyde! I nearly used him as a visual for my Shadowrun Technomancer.
Hrmm……
I am beginning to think it’s an art to write about building paranoia.
